Hi!

As you may notice, the JJnet forums and comments occasionally get attacked by spambots posting nonsense. This is obviously slightly annoying, to read and I assume more annoying for admins to remove. So, is there any idea about preventing these bots from spamming? I would suggest, many sites have a captcha form to detect bots like these, and some forums also have rules where you must be approved to post, or make a certain number of replies before starting a thread. I just think that less spambots would be an improvement to the site and ease up its maintenance, so that's why I am pointing it out here. Anyway, thanks for reading my site suggestions thread!

nah, captha are annoying, and admin approval posting is worse then any spam, maybe certain number of replies before u can post is ok, but how exactly would that stop spambots?

Perhaps an admin approval on creating a user account, or account should be active for x period of time before being able to post comments.

I propose a system where we can have account tiers, whereby you can get promoted after you make seven to ten posts of value to JJsociety, and they have been upvoted by moti, KRSplat, Jelly Jam and myself. If you also wish to join this esteemed council I would vehemently encourage you to emo

Attention all epic fortnite gamers

jazzjackrabbit.net needs your help to protect our most beloved web site in the entire multiverse from the villainous minds of fake-passport promoters and shoe salesmen, who are totally not advertising their second-hand products because they make a living out of it. In order to keep our security up to date, we've started a movement that'll ensure the safety of our innocent forum posters, and that's where you come in!

If you donate us only 0,∞ thousand million Uruguayan pesos, you can put a stop to all malicious content injection on our favorite platform. If we all pinch in an equal ammount of money, this might just work!

BUT ALAS

Sadly, not everyone is as kind and generous to donate as you are, dear reader, but you can make up for it! If you donate us a little bit more than that, we can do wonders! But in order to determine exactly how much we need from you, we'll need you to quietly borrow your mom's credit card and send us the four irrelevant digits on the back and the three digits on the front of her card. Those numbers will help us do a detaied calculus on exactly how much money we need to end jazzjackrabbit.net's suffering.

The numbers can be sent to us via Google Wave's private messaging service. Oh, what's that? It's currently down? HMM, might as well send it to some of us via jazzjackrabbit.net's private messaging service, particularly to the one who's username starts with "J" and ends with "elly Jam", and no one else.

So please, do yourself a favor and help out a random stranger on the Internet, to ensure jazzjackrabbit.net's Epic Victory Royale. emo

Support our fight against ridiculous spam and lets try to get this post to a wooping 10 likes. I KNOW, I KNOW, 10 likes that's a crazy goal, that's a flipping amazing goal, and when we reach it, JJSociety presented by Calm Splat will launch an epic disstrack on jazzjackrabbit.net spambots.

And don't forget to follow JJSociety on all your favorite platforms, including Youtube. Make sure to smash that like and subscribe button, and turn that bell on to be part of our Notification squad. And buy our merch!

Buying merch or donating us money directly? Is there a difference? What's the point? Do I care? No!

Due to an overwhelming amount of applications, we decided to launch a survey:

Do you tip in restaurants?
1) yes
2) no
3) yes
4) what is a survey

1) A
2) B
3) C
4) A survey is like a quiz with multiple choices for answers to each question. To answer a survey, respond to each numbered question with the marked letter representing your choice of answers. If you do not select a lettered answer, then you will not receive credit for answering the question. After you complete the survey, your answers will be checked by the teacher, and the correct answers will be given. If you selected all the correct answers, you will be deemed eligible to enter in a sweepstakes to potentially win a $100 gift card as a reward for participating in the survey. In targeted advertising and government surveillance, these surveys are used to monitor people's thinking and track their opinions, and control their behavior with subliminal messaging.
