WoW Division
We have succesfully revived our World of Warcraft division. I should have probably announced this earlier, since the clan was already revived more than a month ago, but I decided to wait and see how it would go before making it an 'official' CC Division. And the good news is that the division is very stable as well as active. So join us now, at the realm
Vek'nilash! The WoW division is lead by
Chiyu,
EvilD,
Mythe and
Xenonix. Other active members include
Benjd,

,
iRobert,
Kittieh,
Nightmare,
Tamanoa and
Thorbane.
Mannerhammers
Since the Cracco Clan Group Convo at MSN is vital for the communication within the clan, it is important to keep it clean and friendly. That means; no spam and no flamewars (both of which we've had quite a lot recently, unfortunately). To ensure this, I have promoted
EvilD and
Vegito to bannerhammers (or rather 'mannerhammers') of the Cracco Clan Group Convo. That means they have the power (along with
Grytolle and myself) to temporarily kick people out of the group chat if they behalve badly. So spammers, beware!!!
Brawl Tournament
I'm pleased to announce that the Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament at the previous CC Meeting (#70) was a big succes

. All the good players our Brawl division has to offer were participating, resulting in some really exciting matches. The entire tournament consisted of 24 normal rounds, followed by 3 'final' rounds (one with players #9, #10, #11, #12, one with players #5, #6, #7, #8 and lastly one with players #1, #2, #3, #4). In every round, four players competed in a FFA match and got points accordingly: 3 for ending first, 2 for ending second, 1 for ending third and nothing for finishing last. Additionally, +1 bonus point was given to the player with the highest kill count.
The final scores show how close things were, especially at the top of the list. It's also worth noting that until the final match, Chiyu, Vegito and Mythe were tied with 26 points each, so you can imagine the excitement ^^.
1.
Chiyu, with 29 points

2.
Vegito, with 28 points

3.
Mythe, with 27 points

4.
Whatsif, with 22 points

5.
FawFuL, with 19 points

6.
EvilD, with 18 points

7.
Falconator, with 16 points

8.
Kyura, with 12 points

9.
ArtistfulRival, with 9 points

10.
Loon, with 6 points
11.
Sfanubis, with 6 points
12.
Grytolle, with 2 points
A replay movie of the final (between the four players with the highest scores) can be found
here. Another movie (less quality though) of the semi-finals can be found
here. A full spreadsheet of all players, rounds and scores can be found
here! Also, as promised, alpha/beta/gamma ranks were handed out to the SSBB members who did well in the tournament. Congratulations, y'all!
Good games, everyone ^^.
CC Summer Holiday 2011!
Important news announcement!
Thanks to a lot of interest, there will finally be a new CC Holiday again! We have settled on a group accomodation in a holiday park close to the Dutch city of Eindhoven. The location is quite close to both the Efteling (a fun theme park) and Tongelreep (major swimming pool), making it a perfect spot for a meeting such as this. We'll stay for a midweek: from the 8th of August until the 12th of August. The price for lodging, and thus participation in meeting, will be 87€ (we'll have to pay per person, not for the house in total). It's fairly cheap in comparison to other holiday parks, especially considering this is in the peak season.
For more information, check:
http://www.biestheuvel.nl/groepsaccommodatie/particulier/accommodaties/recreatief-de-schuurherd/ (it's in Dutch though).
Right now, the following 14 members have confirmed:

Anubis

ArtistfulRival

Benjd

Chiyu

EvilD

GoldR@bbit

Grytolle

Loon

Purplejazz

RiCCardo

Sfaizst

Snooze

Vegito

There will be room for 24 people maximum, so if you want to participate in what is going to be the biggest meeting yet, subscribe fast

! You can do this in the
forum topic.
Team Battle ladder
As you may have noticed, there's now a Team Battle ladder on jazzjackrabbit.net. Gry and I have decided to use the TB ladder as a 'training ground' where our non-alpha/beta warteam members can build up their individual skills. In other words, gamma warteam members
are allowed to play ladder matches in the TB ladder, while they normally wouldn't be allowed to play in the CTF ladder (unless in a team with 2 alpha's). Additionally, normal members are also allowed to play in the TB ladder, but, to prevent complete walkovers, only when they're in a team with two alpha's/beta's.
Basically, there are now two seperate rulesets regarding the ladder & the rankings.
CTF Ladder:
* Alpha warteam members are allowed to play in ladder matches with Gammas, Betas or other Alphas.
* Beta warteam members are allowed to play with other Betas or Alphas in ladder matches.
* Gamma warteam members are allowed to play ladder matches with Alphas (possibly one Alpha and one Beta vs. a weak team).
* Normal members are normally not allowed to play ladder matches, unless a Leader (not a normal Alpha) decides to make an exception.
TB Ladder:
* Alpha warteam members are allowed to play in ladder matches with other Alphas, Betas, Gammas and possibly a normal member.
* Beta warteam members are allowed to play in ladder matches with Alphas, Betas, Gammas and possibly a normal member.
* Gamma warteam members are allowed to play ladder matches with Alphas, Betas or other Gammas.
* Normal members are allowed to play ladder matches with two Alphas/Betas.
News update
Hey everyone, there's a couple of news items to report this time around

.
- First of all,
Chiyu,
Grytolle and
Vegito managed to defeat
MasterSven's clan CDF with a nice score of 14-0 in an impressive display of power in Medieval Skyscrapers. Hurray!
- Secondly, some member updates.
Galana,
DarkLight and
Snooze have rejoined our JJ2 division (he was still in our AoE3 division, though) and inactive CC veteran
Kyura became active once again. Aditionally,
Loon has been promoted to beta rank and
Grytmastern to gamma rank.
- Finally, the new season of the JJ2 Clan Ladder has started. It shouldn't surprise you that CC has won the previous season

. The new season, however, will undergo some changes. Most notably, a bunch of new levels added to the mappool. Check
http://jazzjackrabbit.net/ for more info. Good luck to you all! May we be victorious in the next season as well

.
The Empire Strikes Back
Tonight we faced one of CC's oldest rivals, GpW, ending up with a close but great win.
GpW picked Happy Semiconductor CTF, which we didn't bother training at all during the week, so it was a surprise for us. After an intense game (

Fawful,

Grytolle and

Vegito played for CC) the round finished with a draw, 5-5.
On the other hand, GpW didn't expect us to pick Distopia as well as

Myself being in the warteam (with

Chiyu and

Vegito). It was a stressful and exciting round, but it turned out to be a success. The round score is 6-5 to CC, with a remarkable golden last minute score by Vegito, which was some sort of solo assisted by Chiyu.
I'd say I couldn't have had a better debut than this. I would also like to thank my clan for trusting me and giving me the chance to play in this clanwar, as well as for the alpha status achievement. Big thanks to everyone who helped with trainings as well!
Upcoming clanwar and some good news!
This Friday 20.00 we will face GpW in a ladder clanwar. (Yes, the guys that gave us such a hard time in the finals) They have added some players to their line-up since - let's see if they're more successful in their attempts to beat us than previous times.
We have however strengthened our line-up too, and in the best of ways: through own talent. Riccardo, an oldie in CC by now, who became active again when I informed him of the upcoming JJ2WC, has been promoted to
alpha warteam, and we will most likely give him a chance to play in the clanwar.
This means that we have a
lot of active alphas: Chiyu, Fawful, Grytolle, Riccardo, Vegito. Darth Mav is also somewhat active, and we all know his potential. Ana is in good shape too.
Galana rejoined the clan, and Purplejazz and Afiiko joined it for the first time, all three with a starting rank of Gamma warteam, but I'm certain they have potential for more.
All in all, I doubt CC has ever stood stronger, and I suspect we are back in the kind of golden era we were in after JJ2WC2!
Cracco Clan group
As you may know, there's also a Cracco Clan group on MSN. It's quite convenient for arranging trainings or for having a nice chat with your fellow clanmates, so I would suggest all of you to join it

. While I've tried to invite all members manually, I'm pretty sure there are still some people who I wasn't able to invite (because they disabled invitations in MSN). So everyone who is not in the CraccoClan group yet, please go to
http://craccoclan.groups.live.com/ and request membership

.
New life for AoE3
Recently we've been playing a lot of Age of Empires III matches online, bringing back some life to the Strategy Division. If you still have the game somewhere, please join us! After all, the more, the merrier ^^.
CC Meeting #69
From the 10th to the 15th of February, a most historic event took place - CC Meeting #69, also known as the CC International Meeting. With a total number of 13 CCers (15 if you include the pre-meeting at Thursday), this was one of the biggest and most fun meetings to date. What really made it unique was the number of 'foreigners'. While CC meetings in the past have mostly been a thing for our Dutch members only - with sometimes one or two guests from a different country - this meeting had no less than five people coming from abroad: two Fins, one German, one Bulgar and of course everyone's favourite Swede.
In alphabetical order, the list of participants looks like this:
-

Anubis
-

Chiyu
-

Dx
-

EvilD
-

Falconator
-

FawFuL
-

GoldRabbit
-

Grytolle
-

Loon
-

Nankyoku
-

Sfaiszt
-

Shaney
-

Snooze
-

Vegito

My sincerest thanks to all for coming and making this meeting the succes it was! Additionally, credits go out to
Falconator for hosting,
EvilD for driving and
Vegito and
me for organizing the whole thing and for accomodating people during the pre and post-meeting, respectively ^^.

@craccoclan.com
After a few weeks of testing, I can now positively say: the @craccoclan.com e-mail addresses are working again! Many thanks to our System Admin EvilD for this. You can log in to your @craccoclan.com e-mail address at
https://mail.google.com/a/craccoclan.com/, using your nickname and your pre-defined password. If you'd also like one created for you, let me know and I'll add it! Take notice that you can also use your @craccoclan.com e-maill for msn, like I do

.
Additionally, I have completely cleaned up the CC site; making all memberlists and information up-to-date. Finally, I've made a compilation movie of CC's best moments during CC vs. GpW - the finals of JJ2WC3. Check the movie here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEY4Ie0d_ds.
TeamSpeak
As some of you may have noticed, we have gotten our own TeamSpeak server! What started out as an experiment grew out to be a big success - using voice-chat in JJ2 trainings, and later on in JJ2WC3 as well. Using voice-chat, Faw, Gry, Veg and I were able to communicate much faster and give out way more detailed information to each other without slowing the game donw. If we hadn't done this, we would have had a big disadvantage, since GpW also used voice-chat (Skype) in the previous match. Anyway, since it was a success, we will try to use voice-chat more often during trainings and clanwars alike. Keep in mind though that you can also use the TS server for social purposes. Non-CCers are welcome too, if they behave well, although they are not allowed in the private channels (unless by invitation from an ECCer).
To start, first you need to download
TeamSpeak 3. Then, log in using ts.craccoclan.com as server and 1337 as port (ts.craccoclan.com:1337 for short) and you'll be in our server.
Yesterday, EvilD and I finished doing all the settings properly. As a result, the server is divided in a number of channels. There's a general CC channel, as wel as an exclusive ECC channel. There are (private) channels for the blue team and red team (used for trainings), and the warteam (usable for clanwars). Additionally, there's also a number of more specific channels, such as a channel to play music for others or to talk in Dutch.
Next to EvilD and myself, CoLeader Grytolle and the other ECCers (in this case: Ana, Anubis, FawFuL, Kittieh and Vegito) have been given authority to ignore channel passwords, drag people from one channel to another and kick people when misbehaving.
CC World Champions 2010-2011!!!
In a very exciting final, the Cracco Clan has defeated the Gurus of Proactive Warfare - which means we are now the undisputed
winners of the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 World Championships III! After losing the first round in Diamondus Warzone with 4-5, we managed to get back at them with 5-2 in Jungle's Edge and 12-1 in Zaitox Station, earning us a 2-1 lead in rounds (4-2 in points). The first clan to get to 5 points would win the clanwar, so getting a tie (worth 1 point) in the fourth round (Nuclear Afterblast), was enough to win the clanwar. As you can see from the scores, it was a very challenging and balanced clanwar overall - with the exception of the Zaitox round, in which we clearly dominated. Truth to be told - GpW was a formidable opponent this time around, and truly deserving of the second place.
First of all, I'd like to give credits to our fine warteam who have made this happen:
Chiyu,
FawFuL,
Grytolle and
Vegito who have played in most of the rounds, as well as
Ana and
Anakin who have also played one round each. And let's not forget
KiMo and
Kittieh either, for quickly jumping in briefly when we needed a backup.
But, to be fair, there are many others who deserve credit. CC's success is greatly indebted to the fanatical trainings we've had during the past few months, and these wouldn't have been possible if there weren't so many loyal, active members willing to practice with us. That's why additional thanks goes out to
Anubis,
chillax,
CzSonic,
EvilD,
Loon,
Maverick,
RiCCardo,
Shaney and
Sfaizst - who didn't get to play in any clanwars themselves, but whose cooperation was essential to winning this tournament nonetheless.
There's still more news. Sadly, CoLeader and long-time member
Anakin decided to leave CC right after the finals. This means the second-highest rank in the clan, that of CoLeader, was vacant once again. After a short discussion, we offered
Grytolle the position and I'm glad to announce that he accepted.
FawFuL was then asked to take Grytolle's old position (that of JJ2 GameLeader, alongside
Anubis). Additionally,
Vegito was promoted to being our official War Arranger and
EvilD to being our System Admin.
On a sidenote, the entire Cracco Clan site has now also been moved to EvilD's host (just like the revived forum). This means that we're now in complete control over our site/forum again, with an active administrator amongst our ranks who can tackle problems whenever they arise.
Good times for the Cracco Clan! Or rather:
FOR THE EMPIRE!!!

CC in the finals!
Yes! We did it! Because we managed to defeat
teNaciTy 3 with 3-1
(30-13) in a most exciting game, CC placed itself for the finals. Unfortunately, the match was plagued by severe technical difficulties. Vegito's laptop crashed because it couldn't handle all the pwnage going on in both clans and so he had to be replaced midway in both the first round and the fourth round. For more information on this clanwar (the
fiftieth clanwar our clan has played!), check out
http://www.craccoclan.com/divisions/platform/jj2/CW50.html. Although his appearance was only brief, I'd like to congratulate
Kimo on his clanwar debute!
In the finals, we will once again have to face our old rival the Gurus of Proactive Warfare.
There's more news, however - although only indirectly related to CC. Several members of the clan RL have been found guilty of cheating in (ladder) matches. There have been countless suspicions and accusations in the past, but now they were finally caught red-handed. This was possible because the program they used logged their IPs so we could see at what times they were using the program. For punishment, RL got -200 points at the official JJ2 ladder and the four members banned. For more information on this, or for the ladder itself, visit
http://www.jazzjackrabbit.net!
A classic victory
In tonight's episode of JJ2WC3, the Cracco Clan had to face their old rivals, the Gurus of Proactive Warfare - in other words, a true "classic" match-up. We've played against them before and won with 10-2, but this time they had a completely different line-up consisting of newcomers
Kenny and
Snooze, veteran guru
Urbs, and
Spaceboy briefly replacing Snooze after he left. Nevertheless,
FawFuL,
Grytolle,
Vegito and I,
Chiyu, did great. With a total score of 28-3, this is probably our best result of the tournament thus far. For more information, please check
http://www.craccoclan.com/divisions/platform/jj2/CW49.html.
With this match done, the group stage of the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 World Championships is now over. The clans that advanced to the semi-finals are
CC,
GpW,
RL and
-t3. Out of these, we will have to face -t3 in the first week of January. So let's keep training until then

.
CC site cleanup
Hey everyone, I gave the CC site a thorough cleanup. All inactive divisions have been removed, meaning we went back from 9 to 4 divisions. Out of these, Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is the 'core' division, while Age of Empires III, Civilization IV and Super Smash Bros. Brawl are the 'supplementary' divisions.
Additionally, I updated the JJ2 memberlist, by adding
EvilD and moving veteran member
RiCCardo back from inactive to active members.
The forum is back!
As some of you may know, thanks to EvilD, we have succesfully revived the Cracco Clan forum which has been missing for more than a year. The old forum was shut down because php was disabled by our host, so now we moved the forum to a new host (provided by CC member EvilD). Measures to prevent spam bots have been taken as well, and the forum software was also upgraded. Additionally, we gave the forum a complete make-over: a skin that fits CC's site better, a thorough clean-up and a reorganisation of the categories and (sub)forums.
Now that JJ2WC3 is going on, and CC more active again than it has been in years, having a forum is really useful. A forum is needed so potential new members have a place to (openly) request membership, so that we can talk about important CC/JJ2 matters, and so that members can easily communicate with each other without all having to be online at the same time. A forum is also helpful because it enables members from the entire clan can get to know each other better (which results in a more social clan and a better 'community' feeling), and so that we can easily schedule new CC meetings and such. On top of all that, having a good forum with nice/interesting posts can also be a lot of fun.
Additionally, the official CC forum will also be used for the 'voting system' (introduced two news posts earlier), in which the ECC members (Ana, Anakin, Anubis, FawFuL, Grytolle, Shelly, Vegito and myself) can vote on certain matters.
In any case... I would hereby like to ask all of you, CCers, to sign up and start posting

! Other JJ2 players and people interested are of course most welcome to join as well.
The url is, of course,
http://forum.craccoclan.com! From now on, the forum also appears in the navigation bar to the left again.
Cracco Clan marches again!
Great news everyone! Last night, our second match of JJ2WC3: CC vs. NF took place. Although we had a rough first round in Diamondus Warzone, the second round in Jungle's Edge went extremely well and we were able to pull of an impressive 20-1 (2-0 in rounds) victory. Anakin, FawFul and me played in the first round, while Grytolle, Vegito and me played in the second round. Enigma, Jake and Nerd played for RF during both rounds. For more information, please check
http://www.craccoclan.com/divisions/platform/jj2/CW48.html.
CC's comeback!
Yay, after months, there is finally real news to report again! And great news indeed!
As some of you may know, the third season of the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 World Championships have started this week, and CC signed up as well. Yesterday, we had to play our first match against CDF. We prepared for the clanwar with much enthusiasm and our team spirit was great. And so was the clanwar itself. With a whopping 23 scores against 2, this was one of our best games ever. Grytolle, Vegito and I played on a very high level, and Ana and FawFul made great clanwar debuts as well. Please check info and detailed comments here:
http://www.craccoclan.com/divisions/platform/jj2/CW47.html.
Also, I'd like to announce that we're trying out a new system in CC regarding joining members. I think now that our JJ2 division is active, it would be good if all 'important' members have a say in what's going on. Additionally, I've been disturbed by the influx of noobs in our clan lately, while we don't really 'need' them anyway. Therefore, from now on, our 'council' of the eight most important members at JJ2 (the leaders and/or alpha warteam members) will be able to vote on whether a new member is able to join or not. Additionally, they will be able to vote on kicking, promoting or demoting existing members.
That's all this time

. Hurray for CC!
Joining requirements
DL left CC for the third time and she thinks our joining requirements are too low, so now they're higher!!! You have to beat me 5-0 on elcas.j2l or anubis 5-0 on epitome. You also have to be a decent teamplayer
Gl joining
World of Warcraft
For those who are interested: with a couple of friends I have created a Cracco Clan on the highly popular MMORPG World of Warcraft. We are playing as the Alliance on a new realm, called Vek'nilash. If you'd like to join, please notify me on MSN, or PM me in-game (my nickname is Yakuta).
Silver Dragons reborn!
I would like to announce that we once again have a CC division on the popular MMORPG Ragnarok Online

. I waited a while before announcing this to wait and see whether the division would actually survive a couple of weeks. And I bring great news: the Silver Dragons (as our guild in RO is called) are doing really good! As of this moment, our core team already consists of 7 members, including veteran CC members
Neo (monk+gunslinger),
GoldRabbit (wizard),
Donny (knight+priest) and myself (hunter+priest), as well as relatively new member
CannonStrike/Zeloh (wizard+knight) and complete newcomers
Feaglin (priest) and
Mythe (sage+knight). We have also already made some in-game recruits such as a high level paladin and an assassin.
For those who are unfamiliar with the game, here's a little backstory. Ragnarok Online is a MMORPG created by the Korean company GRAVITY, similar to games like Fly For Fun, World of Warcraft, Lineage 2, Runescape etc. It is well known for it's classical, yet extensive job system and the huge variety of towns and dungeons. For a brief overview you can read the description on the CC site
here, or better yet, just go to
Wikipedia. In 2003, Cracco Clan first expanded to Ragnarok Online. It turned out to become our most succesful (MMO)RPG division as of yet and the second division of the clan (after JJ2), judging by total amount of members and activity (especially from 2003 to 2005). However, when the division eventually died. Despite several unsuccesful attempts to revive the Silver Dragon Guild (as our guild was known as on the last server we played on), the RO division never truly reclaimed its place as the #2 division of the clan. This time around, we hope to change that. Please join us in making this happen

Fly For Fun
(I'm posting this on behalf of Zeta.)
Hey there guys, Zeta here, or for anyone who plays FlyFF, HelperElf, the friendly Magician. I got into FlyFF a couple of years ago and since then I've been hooked on this game, good. However, the game has millions of players now and I, along with CC, could really use the help of any eager beavers who wanna join us. If you're interested just mail/msn me, viktor274@hotmail.com or mail me in-game.
My char's HelperElf on the Lawolf server where you'll also find our clan. Peace out
Cracco Clan 10th anniversary!!
As you may have already noticed, this month the Cracco Clan is celebrating its 10th birthday. That's right, the clan is already that old. Originally founded in September 1999 at Jazz Jackrabbit 2, we slowly worked our way to the top and finally got there in 2005. Despite our various efforts to expand to other games, only a few attempts have really been succesful, such as Ragnarok Online, Age of Empires 3, Civilization 4 and Fly For Fun. Still, we can be proud of our clan has always stood out as a large, open(-minded), multi-gaming clan. I wish to thank all the members and ex-members for making this happen

.
For the next couple of weeks we will be celebrating the clan's anniversary in a number of ways. First, I will frequently be hosting a dedicated server (as I have already been doing during the past week or two). In order to offer more variety in my server, I would like to ask all CCers to send me their best battle, CTF, quest or (air) survivor levels through MSN (chiyu@craccoclan.com).
Along with this dedicated server, there will be regular events, but more information on this will follow

.
Finally, the event will be concluded with a big CC (international) IRL Meeting during the weekend of Friday, October the 2nd to Sunday, October the 4th. 2-3-4 October. The meeting will most likely also feature a small LAN party to entertain the Strategy division players.
Stay tuned and have fun!
