@Kimo: Taking a note that your reputation is the highest one without the "admin bonus" (which is lame btw) on the whole forum and that you posted that unrelated comment in a chatlog thread, yes, I'd say it was dumb. Don't get me wrong though, I didn't reduce your rep, I don't like reducing people's reputation because I'm an extremely nice person.

I'd really like to see a 'Thanks' button like on Digiex, instead of this reputation system, because it's a public system. I'd rather like to see who is thankful to my post instead of this system, where you get negrepped by people who hates you. Tbh, I don't know what's the point of reputation here, and why does admins have higher rep than users. On every forum I know, everyone starts with the same reputation. Even on JCF. I have nothing against it, but I'm curious. What does it says about the person?

Note to self: Don't make note of rep, and especially don't post about it if it has nothing to do with the thread. *remembers the times on jcf when I would make idiotic comments about my rep or what could happen to it*
You can play this game online???

Not true
But sure, I should code the thanks-system anyway

Why? The worst thing that could happen is that the admin in question removes it

this coming from the user who first abused the rep system
We rode on the winds of the rising storm,
We ran to the sounds of the thunder.
We danced among the lightning bolts,
and tore the world asunder.

Don't do such stuff, nabs especially like to take away rep because of that. I'll try to prevent that,if it's really just for being evil
Also, why is the admin bonus lame? Don't the admins and I,the forum mod deserve at least a small reward for helping out?

You've heard a similar thing from me already when we were chatting about something different. You rejected that one so I expect you to do the same with this. But, if you really do help, shouldn't you be able to get the reputation from people in the same way we do? Because if you don't get rep for "helping out", then maybe no one actually considers you "helping out", and then why should this counter - in theory meaning what people think about you - show a higher number than it would without that "admin bonus"? If you do your job well, and post well, you'll deserve the reputation.
Besides, you already do have an "admin bonus" in the form of what Kimo posted:
Quote:
Never ever, whatever you do or want to do, DON'T decrease any admin's rep.
Some members who would normally negrep you won't do that because of fear, no matter how much you'd encourage that. Your reputation is going to hardly ever fall down so in the effect you're going to have a higher one than most of people anyway.

You were the first to hand out random negreps, congratulations! Too bad they're deleted now...
There, you got yourself a thanks system, hand out random thanks instead!

Under the title "JJ.net's forum", it says "Gratitude". It used to be "Your reputation".
edit: So those blank thingies were from people who were not logged in? We gotta fix that.
