I wish to give you guys some information that may alter the entire jj2 competetive scene.
First, no, and I mean no game which is played at the ladder is trustworthy anymore. Every game may have someone playing with radar and it isn't traceable.
Now players may be wondering why in the world I would state such thing. First of all, I got my hands on Radar v2 today. I know exactly what is possible now. The levellist this radar version works on: Semi, JE, BBlair, BBswing, silwi, Gauntlet, Epitome, FF, WW, Distopia, super, TCS, DW and Zaitox.
I can test it out with you guys if you want, I dont care. I can give all information by just checking radar basically. I even know everybodies health.
Ah, I also dont need teamchat anymore because I know when my flagcarrier is low and I know when to shout "S" because I can see enemy flagcarrier getting 1. All automatically.
Now I cannot tell how long this has been around already, I just know from a source he's been given a couple of untraceable Radar versions already.
I'll be able to show screenshots and I will be able to give evidence of everything I am stating. You can come visit me at my house and I'll show you everything (of radar *cough*) for that matter.
Either way, laddering me is probably not gonna happen now anymore and I am aware of that. But I just wish players to know what is actually possible at jj2 and what you're dealing with. I also wish to get a discussion going and for someone to finally make whatever program that detects cheating - may if even be a program everybody has to use locally. That said, that'll probably be bypassable too so I might as well not play anything competetive at all anymore.

Yes, it is theoretically possible, but the kind of people who can't generate maps for every level instead of adding a couple of minimaps made in paint do not possess the capacity to bypass a well-written monitoring program.
But until such a time, nothing has really changed: JJ2 has been easy to cheat on for years, and the only thing you really could do was to trust your opponents and teammates. So basically, just don't ladder people who you don't trust.

Cheaters are pathetic who can't achieve nothing in real life, they just have to cheat to feel good. I hope this new version will be detectable, and the punishments should be really more tough. People who have cheated alot and keep doing it after being punished they have to be banned permanently, they show no mercy to fair players? Good. The cheaters can expect the same in return.
PS. I am talking about cheaters who cheat during competitive matches, if you cheat in a server without anything serious going on, its ok.

This radar is not detectable I'm afraid Laro. Not that I know anyway. As Gry said someone will have to make a *good* anti cheating tool. That'll keep players busy for a while Im sure. And Slayer is right.

Banning Artem from JJ2, if even possible, is irrational and counterproductive: He will make more cheating tools as revenge and you can't block him from using msn or other means to distribute them.

WTF. Seriously. It only works for a select amout of lvls? Uses minimaps? MINIMAPS? You arn't even able to generate it by reading lvl + tileset? omg. -_-'

However, It's just lame to abuse them by using them in ladders, or handing them out to the whole comunnity in a way that they can't be regulated. Thanks for screwing up the ladder system.
I'll have to write my own detector/scanner/something now, just to ensure someone doesn't cheat...
It seems the one who made this isn't a real hacker, but merely what we call a 'scriptkiddie' who uses other peoples code to make simple hack programs and has absolutly no respect for the 'power' which comes with the abillity to cheat in this way.
