This is a tool I've worked on some time ago, and I think its finally ready for release!
Chico is short for "Chat Icons": it let's you draw images on a small MSpaint-like canvas which you can then chat as colorful ASCII-art in JJ2.
How to use:
(1) Draw icon you want to chat onto the canvas, use top toolbar to switch colors. You can resize image using the blue handle in the bottom right corner.
(2) Type string of what you want the image to be drawn with. First screenshot example uses #, second uses !!!. String can be up to 5 characters long, but your chat might be cut off if its too long!
(3) Type offset of the image. Offset changes the spacing between letters, it scales the image horizontally. Value is normally between 17-20.
(4) Hit [Test] button to test output. If all works as expected...
(5) ...hit [Chat!] to chat your text!
Bottom toolbar functions from left to right:
Clr = Clear image (fill with back color); R+/R- = Add/Remove row; C+/C- = Add/Remove column; # = On/Off grid; <> = Shift image; S/L = Save/Load image from/to file
Warning: modj2 library 1.23 support is bugged, I only had 1.24 available for tests!
Here are some screenshots of it in action (UI is a bit bugged on this computer but should be fine on yours):
I hope you enjoy my program! Be sure to report all bugs you find!

(This post has been helpful to 3 of the forumers.)
ahahaha gj releasing this ;-)
I agree with kicking ppl who use this during a game, because that would obfuscate most of the teamchat currently sent.
Well, let's see what ppl do with this... :chatter:
The funny animation that iku injected on the website (by inserting JavaScript in a thread title) can be accessed as an easter egg, if you're good enough at reading the page source to figure out the hotkey.
(This particular vulnerability has been fixed)
