Those aren't a joke, and I know I lack the time to implement them on my own, especially with my university having exams in 1.5 weeks and me moving away to live on my own afterwards.

You wouldn't want me to implement half of it, then grow busy and leave you for months with a half-working site :p

I still dig the color-scheme tho, and if I find my self with a lot of time I will try my hand at implementing them.

I might start implementing it behind the scenes in the holidays, but no promises...

Nah, I lacked time and at first I decided to stall it until the holidays, however then BlurredD released the jj2+ source code.

With that code out, and a large group of people who know the game and community working on it, it can grow faster than my project could with my life being busy as it is.

So yeah, I'm kinda sad because I really wanted to improve this game and gain experience from it, but with my current schedule I just don't want to promise things I can't code in time.

Like I said in smalltext in my post above yours, I might work on the site in the holidays, but no promise, I have exams, and will move soon.
Also I am developing/designing an Augmented-reality Table, which will hopefully replace desktop PC's for a lot of common tasks. Oh, dreams :p

Still I haven't forgotten jj2, it's still on my favorite games list and if I ever find time I will try to contribute something useful to this community. It's small, but fun.

Never wanted you to start it and not finish, but you promised me you could start them (behind the scenes as you said) during the winter. Winter passed, you didn't tell me anything, and this thread just reminded me of this new layout. I understand you have no free time, and that you are busy. I am not in hurry, I made this to practice, and I think this layout looks good. At least for me.

Btw, if there's anyone who knows how to implement this, say here.

Toni, you are right and my apologies for not living up to my promises. It was a busy time for me, with me trying to make my own jj2, a better site and also doing college at the same time. I was just taking on to much work, not taking into account the time each think would take.

Now I'm doing things step by step, which unfortunatly means I don't have that much time for the site and jj2 in general while college is going on.

Like you already said, if anyone wants to do this or help doing this, post here and I'm sure gry for example can set you up!
Beware though, this site's code makes digging though jumps in ASM seem like childs play xd

Toni, could you PM me the PSD's of the new site? Might work on it casually when I have some spare time left.

Edit:

Also would you mind if I change the design a bit to make it liquid? As in, make it scale based on users screens? not everyone has a monitor wider than 1600 pixels emo

Yeah, all those gradients, glows and bevels will just lead to small images everywhere instead of just code, which in turn leads to lag longer loading times. Still, I do not want to run over Toni's skin that much... hmm...

EDIT:
Also, what about browser compatibility? Supporting IE versions under 8 is gonna be a bitch...
Anyone still uses IE7 or lower? Any chance of convincing you to use a decent standards compliant browser?

I have nothing against changing it. Do whatever you want if you think it's gonna be good. I can give you PSD files, and I am sure I sent it to someone, just can't remember who was it. I will send you PM later.

cooba, they might be noobish, but I was experimenting with this. It looks weird without bevels and emboss, and gradients gives more life to this. Everyone has different opinion, and yours is fine too. Just tell me why didn't you complain about gradients and bevels on this site layout emo This layout has blue gradient and boxes look like they have bevel.

Well, gradients are generally something to avoid unless you know damn well what you're doing, most professional sites these days prefer to go for a cleaner look. The days of Web 2.0 are long gone, now it's all about Flatness.

Yeah, it's mostly Twitter with it's Bootstrap library doing that.

Still, I think gradients can look good if not overused.

My 666th post saying gradients look good, oh dear...
