My first ladder ever . Too bad I cto'd twice, once in every map.
It's quite intense, having to pay attention to both the game and, in our case, the voicechat. That's something I'll have to get used to in time, and I'm sure I will. Too bad I couldn't celebrate my CC/Ladder debut with a victory , though. Oh well, new ladders will offer new chances, and I still have many things to learn!
My god, 6 ladders in one day? And only CC vs T3? That does explain why both clans are numbers one and two. With these addicts battling each other a million times a week, no other clan is able to keep up with them and simply unable to conquer first place. This is not a fair contest, this is an unorganized, unbalanced stampede. Ladders should be organized like football (soccer), so that each clan has the same amount of games every weekend. New season, new rules!
Victory: 3 points. Tie: 1 point for each clan. Loss: 0 points.
Clans that are listed as 'active' but forfeit this activeness by not participating, should be removed from the ladder-list. You want to play seriously? Then take it seriously by organzing it better, instead of maintaining the madness that has taken hold of the current situation. You miss a weekend? Either the planned match will be played later, or it is considered a loss for the absent clan.
This close-to-legendary Defense Force often sleeps and slumbers, allowing their opponents to run them over without a challenge. But, in their waking hours, they rise...they strike, they smash, bringing whoever comes at them to their knees in a heartbeat. You know the old saying: with great power, comes great responsibility.
The civilian resistance is shattered, their persistent insurgency terminated. Other clans are now preparing for the invasion. Soon they shall farm and feast upon this defense force, and a new era of victory and conquest will follow.
CDF is running. Disorganized. Their society collapsed. Another victory is no longer theirs to take.
No way of leveling the odds. No hope to win. No use in calling on the Gods. They’ve got you pinned. No time to make another plan. No breath to shout. No strength to make a final stand. Luck has run out.
I think Toni means that all clanmembers should be able to vote in a removal/adding decision, and not just the clanleaders.
Allowing literally all players (thus including the non-clanners such as myself) to vote makes no sense indeed, since it does not affect them/us in any way. I can play in whatever map people choose, regardless whether it's in the mappool or not . Mappool is something I personally don't care about, but clanmembers do (for training purposes and what not), so they should have a say in it as well.
I wouldn't say 'always', and I don't recall ever mentioning the word 'suck', but it does occur that I target CDF when they lose a game. That is mostly because I see people praise CDF, saying it is a powerful, succesful clan etc. Then I really like to point out to them just how 'mortal' they are .
And what is wrong with saying "CDF gets it again", or "congrats on not being asskicked by T3 again". That's just observation. I don't hate CDF for the sake of hating it. I'm expressing an opinion, one you either like or despise.
But if you want me to shut up about CDF, I will gladly do so. The last thing I want is to have this situation escalate any further. But when I see someone praise CDF again, I will load the cannons and fire at will.
I never talk crap. My words are like diamonds: shining, strong, beautiful and valuable!
And I left that 3v3 because I could not concentrate on anything. Yet shortly after I did join another 3v3 and played it to the end, you were there! So don't insult be by saying I talk crap just because I left one game, that's not really nice of you.
Let me freely adapt and alter a part from Jeff Wayne's musical version of the War of the Worlds to describe this situation:
Never before in the history of the game had such a mass of clanmembers moved and suffered together. This was no disciplined battle. It was a stampede, without order and without a goal. Three CDF'ers unarmed and unprovisioned, driving headlong. It was the beginning of the rout of civilisation, of the massacre of their kind.
I may have lost 2 posts . If I click on my name under 'Online' to check my info, it says 'Comments: 6' (7 including this one) and 'Forum comments: 40'. However, if I go to a forum game, for instance 'Three Letters', the info under my avatar says I have 42 posts.
They have fallen into the void! A world between servers, eternal oblivion . Yes, I'm very sad, even though Grytolle told us not to be xD.
It's really sad that warnings like these are necessary. I mean, everyone with at least a tiny bit of common sense knows that you shouldn't destroy other people's games, either by cycling the level or by spectating off the whole time. Clearly some people are incapable of behaving the way they are supposed to. It is therefore important to save the chatlog if someone ruins your game, so it can be used as evidence.
I'm sure that people who break a game would be very angry themselves if someone else would do the same to them. THINK BEFORE YOU ACT, people, not the other way around. Don't fight evil with evil, just leave the game and return later instead of destroying it.
I noticed there is also a 'Turbo'-difficulty for Single Player, and I like that new challenge . There are some bugs, though. For instance, the game does not play the boss themes anymore. Everytime I encounter a boss (for instance the queen or the Schwartzenguard), the game continues playing the level theme.
There's also an error in the level Suburbia Commando, which didn't occur before. At some point in that level (somewhere at the beginning), you must break through a wall and then go down, through eight star-blocks. There are some green gems straight ahead in that building, and an invisible wall. If you shoot that wall and enter, you are supposed to go up to access a secret place you otherwise can't reach (without cheating). There are some red springs, red gems and a gold coin (you reach the coin and some of the gems from below if you're Spaz). What happens instead, though, is that you go sideways, through everything and eventually you disappear from the screen. You can't stop it, so you have to reload a previous save. I'm sure this isn't supposed to happen.
Well, I do have a Skype-account xD, but I'm not really sure if I'm a good commentator for things like this. I could try, of course, but let's leave it to the pro's for now.
