Ladder suspended indefinitely |

Pending the review, none of the punishments in the previous newspost apply. GpW has their title, Pavle and A7med are not banned. Due to a lack of coordination, and the lack of urgency between seasons, no admin has made this statement up until now.
However, if Shadow wishes us to hurry up, as his posts last night indicate, we will be happy to make the initial measures with a few modifications effective.
At any rate, the next season is postponed indefinitely until trust in the integrity of the games has been reestablished either by a clearing of the charges, a ban or new anti cheating measures. |

Retiring As An Admin |

Good evening everyone! I just wanted to write some final words before retiring as a JJNet admin for good. It's been a hell of a ride with a lot of cool times, but also worse times with all the dramas, etc.
Don't get me wrong! This decision is not based on the recent unfortunate chain of events and drama soups that emerged, where the admins got criticized from many directions. No, I first started shifting towards this decision already before the last ladder season began, by promoting a handful of new moderators, in hopes to have an active successor one day and in hopes of sharing my workload a bit, which was mostly on me during the last few ladder seasons. Of course, things don't always go as planned, but I have faith in the rest of the remaining crew, that they'll find suitable replacement(s) for the future or perhaps even change the way the ladder is lead, who knows.
One of the most important motivators to make this decision, was of course that I would like to contribute to the community in other ways, for example by further developing JJ2+ or the JJNet site. This way, I can give room for others to lead and impact on the ladder too. I have now demoted myself to a regular user otherwise, but I will stay as a developer for the site itself.
Does this mean that I'm retiring from competitive matches altogether? Not really, although I don't yet know what the future will bring. But I suppose I would still be up for playing some ladder matches or even just casual games in the future. Can wait and see a bit.
Thank you! SJ is out! |

Cheats and Punishments |

The JJNet crew have deemed A7med and Pavlus to be guilty of cheating during ladder season 17. There has been an increasing amount of video and chatlog evidence of both players using a radar or equivalent software to gain more vision on their opponents in game. The video evidence has been recorded in various types of matches, including duels, clanwars, trainings and NT matches. A group of detectives took their time to analyze the suspicious video material to find out all the suspicious moments.
The punishments are as follows:
-Pav - Banned for 2 years from competitive play -A7med - Banned for 2 years from competitive play -Gpw - All the points gained during season 17 are taken away
The evidence is split up into many parts and all of it is available for anyone to see, for transparency. There is a video compilation for each player, showing the most suspicious moments from all the evidence. Besides the compilation videos, there are also evidence documents; One for the most suspicious moments altogether and another one for low evidence moments. The low evidence document contains all the moments which were deemed as suspicious at first, but later evaluated to be of no real evidence, due to plausible explanations like voice-communication, etc. Finally, there are also all the full chatlogs that were partly used in the video compilations.
What happens regarding the national tournament 2020, will follow up shortly. |

Congratulations to [GpW] for its 5th season victory of the ladder and for defending their title for a second time! Honorful mention goes also to CX and -t3> for claiming their silver and bronze medals respectively.
I would like to address that the next season will start any time soon. However, we (clan representatives and moderators) are currently working on some rule updates.
The statistics of S17 will follow later.
Stay tuned! |

GpW has crossed the magical 200 points limit and the ladder is now frozen. Like previous seasons, the top 2 clans (Cx and GpW) are invited to participate in the Grand Final, meanwhile [CDF] and -t3> are invited to participate in the bronze final. Should one of the clans not accept the invitation, e.g. from top 2 clans, the clan ranked 3rd will be invited to the Grand Final and so on.
Should the current top 4 clans sign up, GpW and -t3> are entitled to pick 1 extra veto (5 total) against their opponents, due to having reached a higher ranking. All clans are allowed to change two (2) of their previous vetoes. This time all vetoes can be set on any maps of any size (e.g. 5 vetoes on 2v2+ maps)
Clan leaders (or clan delegates approved by their clan leaders), please confirm in a comment here whether your clan will be participating. Please do so by April 14th, 22:00 GMT. Also ANNOUNCE YOUR VETOES HERE BEFORE THE SIGN UPS CLOSE (if you have an extra veto and/or wish to change your previous ones). Do not try to use the Edit veto-tab on your clan's page, because it does not yet support veto changing for final matches. If you do not announce vetoes here, your current vetoes apply for you. |

ODT has officially finished. I apologize to GpW as I should have made the rules clearer in the sense that I should have said that head to head takes priority over the total score difference.
The final rankings were :
1-CX : 3-1(won h2h against GpW) 30 points 2-GpW : 3-1 (lost h2h against CX) 20 points 3-CC : 2-2 (won h2h against t3) 15 points 4-t3 : 2-2 (lost h2h against CC) 10 points 5-CDF : 0-4 5 points
A big thank you to everyone who showed up and thanks for playing :) |
